Design by Wretched Flowers.
CROWN OF THORNS Mirror or Frame from the ARTIFACT Collection.
The Crown of Thorns lamps, mirrors, and sconces are made from hundreds of interlocking pieces of laser-cut metal. This puzzle-like joinery technique comes from Tramp Art, a Depression-era woodworking style pioneered by travelling workmen. This lost art of using steel or brass in place of wood, assembled piece by piece, is revived in the Wretched Flowers studio in Connecticut.
